Methods for reducing, preventing, and removing carbon deposits in automotive valves

Firstly, add high-quality gasoline: Impurities such as wax and gum in gasoline are the main components that form carbon deposits, so gasoline with high cleanliness tends to have a weaker tendency to form carbon deposits. Unfortunately, the quality of gasoline in our country is still relatively low compared to developed countries, so we can only make ends meet. Everyone should note that a high octane rating does not necessarily mean high quality, which means that 97 octane oil does not necessarily have fewer impurities than 93 octane oil. The octane rating only represents the octane value of the oil, and cannot represent the quality and cleanliness. Some car owners may add gasoline cleaning agents to their gasoline to ensure its cleanliness. This can effectively prevent the formation of carbon deposits on the metal surface of car valves, and gradually activate the existing carbon particles to be removed, thereby protecting the engine from damage. However, the addition of gasoline cleaning agents must be cautious, as adding counterfeit products can have the opposite effect.
Secondly, do not idle for a long time: If the idle time is long, the time for the engine to reach normal temperature will also be longer, and the speed of gasoline evaporation after being sprayed onto the back of the valve will be slower, resulting in carbon deposits. At the same time, frequent idling reduces the air flow entering the engine, which weakens the scouring effect on carbon deposits and promotes their deposition.
Thirdly, drive at high speeds and try to increase the shifting speed of the manual transmission: The purpose of driving at high speeds is to utilize the scouring effect of airflow on the intake duct to prevent carbon buildup. In addition, increasing the shifting speed is also similar to running on highways, changing the original shifting speed from 2000 to 2500. This not only effectively prevents carbon buildup, but also improves the power performance of the car, avoids the explosion caused by low shifting speed, and protects the engine.
Fourth: Use fuel cleaning additives: The cleaning agent is sucked into the fuel supply pipeline by the fuel pump along with the fuel during engine operation. With the flow of fuel in the car's valves, it can not only clean the gum and carbon deposits in the fuel tank, gasoline pump filter screen, and fuel injectors, but also automatically clean the carbon deposits on the valves and engine cylinders when the engine is working normally, making the engine "rejuvenate" and regain its surging power. Due to the deposition of gum from cleaning the fuel tank, fuel pump filter, and fuel pipeline inside the gasoline filter, it is necessary to replace the fuel filter (gasoline grid) in a timely manner after cleaning without disassembly. It is necessary to remind all car owners again that the chemical cleaning components in the cleaning agent have a certain corrosive effect on the rubber fuel supply pipeline. When using this method, be sure to pay attention to the usage cycle and interval time, otherwise it will accelerate the aging and corrosion of the fuel rubber fuel supply pipeline.
Fifth: Disassembly and cleaning: "No disassembly and cleaning" is simple and labor-saving, just use it correctly. But for engines with severe carbon deposits, this method seems inadequate and cannot achieve the goal of complete cleaning. After "no disassembly and cleaning", if the engine performance is still poor and the technician tells you that the problem is caused by too much carbon buildup in the car valves and cylinders, then the method of disassembling the engine must be used to solve it. The cleaning of valve carbon deposits is relatively simple. After removing the intake manifold, it can be removed manually or by soaking it in cleaning agents. As for the cleaning of carbon deposits in the engine cylinder, it is necessary to make a big effort by removing the cylinder head, timing belt, etc. before cleaning. Due to the inferior power and sealing performance of the engine after disassembly and reassembly, it is generally not advisable to clean the carbon deposits in the engine cylinder frequently. When absolutely necessary, it is also necessary to go to a regular repair shop, otherwise the engine performance will be greatly reduced.
